About us

We are Jeroen and Annabelle Tops. We have been working in Italy since 1998. In that year we started our own travel organization SamSam Reizen. Every year we traveled to Italy in April and back to the Netherlands in October. We organized holidays for single parent families and singles and later also for families. In 2004 we decided to settle permanently in Italy. We rented a house in Trentino in Pieve di Ledro on the beautiful Lago di Ledro. From there we started looking for a suitable place in Italy to buy our own house with estate. We wanted a rural spot in the Italian "campagna", but also close to the sea, in a lively, pleasant town with all necessary amenities. A place that radiates tranquility and where, if you listen carefully, you simply hear "nothing". Add to this an endless view and of course ... sun and warmth and you envision a place where you can receive guests of all ages for a fantastic well-deserved holiday. We found that place in 2005 and after a year of renovations and travelling back and forth between Trentino and Le Marche, we moved in March 2006 with our 2 daughters Zoë and Vera (then 2 and 1 years old) from Pieve di Ledro to Senigallia, Province of Ancona. In the summer of 2007 our youngest son David was born at this new location. From the summer of 2006 we are very happy to receive guests on our estate. In Apartment Il Fagiano, Chalet La Noce or in a fully equipped Safari tent with bathroom, there is suitable accommodation for everyone. Since 2013, in addition to the various accommodations, we also rent out 4 large camping pitches for those who want to come and enjoy a holiday with their own camping equipment. From families with (young) children to couples without children and the elderly, everyone can enjoy a wonderful holiday, any time of year.

In human life, countless opportunities and possibilities pass by. We as individuals, but also together, as a family try to see these opportunities and use the possibilities for personal development where possible.

In 2013, Jeroen had the opportunity to become director of Camping Orlando in Chianti in Tuscany. A rapidly developing campsite with huge growth plans in a short time. Jeroen accepted the challenge and started a 1 year adventure with great enthusiasm and pleasure. It didn't stop after 1 year ... there was a follow-up of 2 years and another follow-up of 3 years. In total Jeroen eventually worked and lived in Tuscany for 6 years. That meant that he was less and less available to help working at Tenuta Tredici Ulivi. Fortunately, since 1998 we have always had a loyal group of employees, volunteers and dear friends around us. Enough help for Annabelle to run Tredici Ulivi in those 6 years.

After 6 seasons as director of Orlando in Chianti in Tuscany, it was time for Jeroen to go back to Le Marche. The missing of the family grew and new challenges awaited Tenuta Tredici Ulivi. Jeroen had not yet returned to Senigallia when he was already asked if he wanted to run camping Mar Y Sierra in San Costanzo. After deliberation, we made a decision. For 2 years we managed Camping Village Mar Y Sierra. Quite a challenge because the campsite had been managed by different operators in previous years and there was no real line and vision. Under considerable time pressure, we have turned it into a beautiful, green, cozy campsite with new inspiration, dedication, enthusiastic employees and the help of some Dutch friends and acquaintances. With good facilities, beautiful accommodations, 2 nice swimming pools, a bar and restaurant / pizzeria and much more. The first 2 years have passed and despite a tough season in 2020 with Covid-19 and a lot of uncertainty, we have decided to continue for another 4 challenging years. The distance between both campsites is half an hour's drive!

Zoë, Vera and David are already 17, 15 and 13 years old and have developed bilingual in Italy at school, at the tennisclub, at volleyball and football club and in the various groups of friends. Small children grow up and eventually go their separate ways. Zoë has therefore chosen to finish the last 2 years of the Italian Liceo Scientifico in the Netherlands. A brave step! It took some time for us to get used to being with the four of us now, but we are happy and grateful that the first step to "flying out" has been taken successfully and with pleasure.

In the meantime, we continue to work on Tredici Ulivi to make it an increasingly beautiful and pleasant holiday location for our guests. The plans and preparations for the conversion of 3 old buildings into detached houses for rental are at an advanced stage. We hope to achieve this in the coming years so keep an eye on this website, Facebook and Instagram and keep following us!
